FAQ’s

So when can I arrive? When can I set up camp? What time do the gates open?
Natural Rhythm is a two-day event, running on Friday 6th July and Saturday 7th July 2012. As camping is included with all tickets, we are opening the box office 3 hours before the music starts on both Friday and Saturday, which will give you enough time to set up camp and ensure that you don’t miss a thing!

Friday 6th July: The box office will open at 12pm for anyone that wishes to camp on both nights, time to unload and set up. The arenas will kick off at 3pm and carry on until 2am.

Saturday 7th July:The box office will reopen at 9am, so that anyone who wishes to camp over on the final night, has time to unload and set up. We have over 18 hours of music programmed in on Saturday, starting at midday and finishing at 6am on Sunday 8th.

The box office will remain open until 12am on both Friday and Saturday night. After that they will close for the evening, as our lovely box office people need all the beauty sleep they can get!

Sunday 8th July: The arenas close at 6am. The campsite closes at 4pm, and the car park at 6pm.

The gates are open for the following hours for entry, but you can leave whenever you like:
Friday 6th 12pm – 12am
Saturday 7th 9am – 12am

There is strictly no entry outside of these hours, even if you are on the guest list. No exceptions what so ever!

Where’s my ticket? When will I get one of those amazing wristbands?
Your ticket will be sent electronically to the email address that you used when you purchased it. Please make sure that you check both your inbox and junk mail. Should you have misplaced this email, please get in touch with us on [email protected]

Your ticket will be exchanged for one of our fabulous wristbands at the site box office when you arrive…. So get there early and wear yours with pride!

Is there a map of the site?
There will be several displayed around the festival site.

Where can I get set-times? I don’t want to miss a thing!
There will be an event timetable board by the main bar, outlining all set/performance times.

Are there any age limits?
This is strictly an over 18’s event and ID will be required. Sorry folks, no children this year I’m afraid. If you are lucky to look younger than 25, please bring a valid passport or drivers licence. Photocopies will not be acceptable.

I’m arriving by shuttle bus/taxi/bicycle/car/campervan/horse/spaceship – where will I arrive on site?
We only have one entrance; on arrival you’ll be shown exactly where to go by our stewards and road signs.

Do I have to pay for the car park?
Nope, it’s free, free, free!

When I arrive, can I set up camp anywhere?
You can camp anywhere you like, but within the campsite boundaries of course. As much as we’d love you to camp with the bears in the woods, this can’t be done I’m afraid…. Maybe next year though! Disabled ticket holders can make a member of our stewards’ team aware of their arrival, and be directed to a more accessible part of the campsite area.

Can I bring in my own alcohol?
As we are an independent festival, free from sponsorship and branding, we need the bar sales to nurture and grow out event. We want to keep the ticket cost as low as possible, and provide you with quality entertainment. It is for those reasons that we need you to help fund this festival by purchasing your drinks from our bars – the money will be reinvested in to making the festival a more fun and exciting place, and to fund our fabulous art installations and guest artists.

You may bring a small amount of alcohol in to the campsite; to get you started, or to keep you going once the bars are closed. Alcohol cannot be brought into any of the main arenas/fields from the campsites, as there are fully licensed bars available for you.

You can only enter into the campsite once with alcohol so please do not try and bring an un-reasonable amount of alcohol in with you. You’ll be asked to leave any excess alcohol outside the event.

You can bring the following…
4 cans of beer/lager/cider
Up to 1 litre of (decanted) spirits.

Please remember that glass is not allowed anywhere at Natural Rhythm so please make sure you decant anything you are planning to bring into the campsite into plastic containers before you arrive.

Are Chinese lanterns, flares, fireworks or campfires allowed? Can I be the next twisted firestarter?
No, we have a no naked flame policy at the festival and in the campsite. Fires, flares, fireworks etc will be extinguished. We will be igniting our own campfire within the site, free for all campers to toast marshmallows.

Can I BBQ?
No BBQ’ing, but you can bring a camping stove. Please use your cooking equipment safely, and keep it at least 3 meters away from all tents and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Are there any hot showers on site?
We have one posh shower block in the camping area for you to use.

Can I charge my iPhone/BlackBerry/Smartphone….?
I’m afraid not. Leave your phone at home, and submerse yourself in the Natural Rhythm experience!

Are there water points on site?
Yes. Free drinking water will be available all around the site.

Can I leave and then come back in again?
Yes you will be allowed to re-enter the festival site as long as you have a valid wristband on. Please note there is no re-entry after midnight on any nights (no exceptions). But why would you want to leave anyway? This is going to be one experience that you’ll never forget!

What’s happening on the Friday?
The lovely people at Ely council have given us a licence to play amplified music until 2.30am! We’ve also planned for lots of unprecedented silliness, all taken care by the lovely people from Tax Deductible, who will be hosting their the Hipster Olympics… think classic egg and spoon race, our very own version of the guineas hobby horse race, dead famous tug of war – Sir Jimmy Savile versus the Amy Winehouse… and more! As night falls, and as the stars shine, artists that are performing on Saturday will be playing acoustic sets around our campfire, complete with toasted marshmallows and plenty of spirits! So there will be something for everyone!
