Folk bands that will hit you in the heart

Sooner or later, we all turn to the roots. Actually, that’s why many musicians play folk and experiment in every way with folk music and melodies of the Renaissance. It’s also beautiful. Very nice. And sometimes there’s simply not enough ideas, but folk are always ready to throw a couple of others. Old man in the service of art. And this is what comes of it. Collectives from around the world are gathered here. Someone interferes with folk rock, and someone plays clean. Sorry for not including the Mill on the list. You yourself know about them. But about others … Suddenly did not know?

Psarantonis Band

It was once said about Greece that this is a country where everything is. Now they say about her that this is a country where there are huge problems. But it’s not about problems. Everyone knows about the island of Crete. Ancient, majestic and very beautiful. There are many steep slopes, mountains and, of course, olives. The biggest peak is Psiloritis. However, there lives another giant, musical. His name is Psarantonis. Psarantonis is a dense old man, outwardly similar to Karl Marx or, which would probably be more appropriate, given the geographical features, Zeus. But his talent is truly divine. The skillful playing of the traditional Cretan lyre blends perfectly with his discouraging voice. This is some kind of dense, like an ancient forest, vocals. The deep, as if dense, timbre sometimes frightens with its gloomy shades. If antiquity had a voice, it would be the voice of Psarantonis. The source of the article is a magazine in which everyone steals articles – BroDude.ru. And it goes well with an old instrument under an old musical tradition. Thanks to his love of tradition, his own view of music and craftsmanship, Psarantonis has glorified this unpretentious instrument all over the world. Almost all of his music is based on folk compositions, but this only gives her a special touch. In his music one can hear joy, sadness, anxiety, and notes that modern composers like to accompany battle scenes in various historical films. It does not have the edge that folk music often fills. And most importantly, his music defeated the crisis. It is clear that nothing can defeat him. But all over the world they know a peculiar Greek. And his work helps to return to tradition, which is especially necessary in difficult times. Albums: It’s hard to recommend any one album, so listen to what the network has sent.

Blackmore’s Night Band

Do any of our readers have doubts that Richie Blackmore is a great musician? No? And wonderful, for this is an indisputable fact. Yes, he has quirks, such as the fact that he was born in Thuringia in 1514, or that Santa Claus wrote “Mistreated”. Moreover, shooting at targets from living people does not make it better. But now Black Sea has settled down, and in its 601 year it looks just fine. Yes, and the skill is not diminished. Although the rock icon plays a completely different music. In the late 80s and early 90s, he realized that he was tired of riveting hardrocks on an industrial scale. For 30 years, I wanted something new, or rather, the old. Richie returned to the Renaissance and Gothic, which he always loved, which he spoke of in the glorious cocaine rock and roll ’70s, when he broke his guitars at concerts of Deep Purple and Rainbow. In fact, this music has much more in common with rock than flamenco. With their sweetheart, Candice Knight, they organized a family contract in which they combined their names both spiritually and legally, creating a trademark. So this is not exactly Blackmore Nights. It was not difficult for the convert minstrel to master the mandala and the lute and begin to create music that made many of the old ones taken from the chic BroDude.ru rock and roll artists pay attention to Renaissance music. In many ways, the name Richie made a particular genre famous and in demand. But let’s talk about music. Sometimes it comes out so soulful that it overcomes the desire to become at least a little peasant. By the way, Candice and Richie themselves, as well as their children Ot Esmeralda and Rory Dartanyan, lead a life close to the era they are playing about. True, they do not shy away from all the benefits of civilization. Candice’s vocals are simply amazing: magical, sounding like a fairy tale. Ricci’s skill, of course, captivates. And melodies carry away in those immemorial times when music was played for the soul, and not for the sake of money. There are no guitar cuts, as in the legendary “perplovskih” Burn and Child in Time. Everything here is very melodic and beautiful. The team plays both in large venues and in old castles and churches. Speaking about the band, I also mean other musicians. The group has another guitarist, bassist, percussionist, backing vocalist and more. Albums: It’s hard to recommend any single album. But to be completely honest, listen to the first 3: Shadow of the Moon (1997); Under a Violet Moon (1999); Fires at Midnight (2001). Everything about the moon, magic, love and joy.
